EYC Krista Raine Fellowship Fund
Embodying Your Curriculum believes that every professor should have access to trauma-informed pedagogy to support themselves in creating connection and contact within the classroom, specifically now as faculty are called upon to recognize and meet the profound social problems we face, which produce anxiety, stress and trauma. Many faculty are able to secure full funding from their institutions for the EYC Faculty Course. We recognize, however, that there are individuals who don’t receive funding from their institutions. To honor those who are striving to become more compassionate, connected professors—but are lacking in financial support from their institutions—EYC is now proud to offer partial funding through our Krista Raine Fellowship Fund.
This fellowship fund is exclusively offered to faculty who asked for funding at their institution, but were turned down. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be:
- A full- or part-time faculty member at a 4-year university or community college
If you are interested in applying for a Krista Raine Fellowship Fund for the fall EYC Faculty Course, we first require that you make funding pitches to three different people/departments at your university. Letting your institution know that you are interested in trauma-informed and anti-racism practices and pedagogies is never a waste of time. This process is designed to help faculty gain support and buy-in from their institutions first and foremost, and then if those endeavors are not fruitful, EYC is offering the Krista Raine Fellowship to cover $1,000 of our EYC Faculty Course tuition, which is priced at $2,100.
To begin the process, first please watch this Intro to Trauma-Informed Pedagogy Webinar.
Then read the EYC Krista Raine Fellowship PDF that takes you through all of the required steps and includes all of the supplementary documents you may need.
The EYC Krista Raine Fellowship Application must be submitted by January 21, 2022 (course starts Feb. 6, 2022).
